Misconceptions of Occupational Teletherapy
My child is too young and won't sit in front of a computer screen.
This is not what teletherapy looks like for babies and toddlers! Therapy involves a parent coaching model. Your therapist will provide activities and coach you on how to use specialized techniques.
My child is too active or won't pay attention to teletherapy.
Our therapists incorporate activities and allow for breaks. Our treatment plans are customized to meet your child's specific and individual needs and our goal is to empower families with the knowledge and tools needed to help their child.
Teletherapy is not as effective as in-person therapy.
This just isn't true! Studies continue to prove that virtual therapy can be as effective as in person therapy. Our therapists use evidence-based practices that are proven effective and approved by the American Associate of Occupational Therapy.
